In some ways, it went well.

You love your family, and then you love your neighbor, and then you love your community, and then you love your fellow citizens in your own country.

They caused a lot of stress for our troops, they made our air traffic controllers not get paid, and they caused a lot of flight cancellations.

We’re going to keep on working to make a decent life affordable in this country, and that’s the metric by which we’ll ultimately be judged in 2026 and beyond.
