As part of our promise to deliver universal child care, we are eliminating these fees for families receiving child care assistance across the city.

I very much oppose these proposed changes, by the current Brooklyn Democratic Party chair. I oppose them because they are an attempt to circumnavigate the will of voters.

Children need their teachers and human connection in order to learn and in order to grow. And they need to develop skills alongside their peers, build relationships with their teachers, and wrestle with tough problems on their own.

The conversations I've been having with the governor and with my team are about the here and now and there will always be time for the conversations that come after that.
