Zohran Mamdani: “Growing up in the shadow of 9/11, I have known what it means to live with an undercurrent of suspicion in this city.”

The reason that I made the decision to have Jessica Tisch as the police commissioner was because of her record of uprooting corruption from the upper echelons of the NYPD while lowering crime across our city.

In solidarity with immigrant New Yorkers and in our shared commitment to the City we love, we ask that you do not rent, lend, or otherwise make your property available to ICE as a staging area for its enforcement operations.

So, I think, you know, it is hard for anyone to keep up with all of the bigotry and racism that Bruce Blakeman exhibits on a regular basis.

Jessica Tisch is the police commissioner. I have no plans to change that.
