This is not politics as usual. This is a defining moral moment for our country.

Corporations that have profited from Black consumers, relied on Black workers, and amassed wealth in part from Black communities cannot look away while Black political power is dismantled in plain sight.

As someone who has called Brooklyn home for decades, I know firsthand the challenges that communities like East Flatbush have faced because of years of disinvestment, a shortage of affordable housing, and longstanding health disparities.

I have no more speakers, and I yield myself the balance of my time. Mr. Speaker, I thank Representatives Strong and Suozzi for leading on this bill, I urge all Members to support this legislation, and I yield back the balance of my time.
