The protests and public outcry during this past couple of weeks over the killing and abuse of black women and men at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve them, add to this the disparities that have been laid bare in recent months regarding the impacts of the coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic are, in my eyes, highly related events.
