One path would place fiscal austerity over all other priorities and would have a significant and adverse impact on our communities, our local economies, and our industries.

The second trend highlighted at this morning's hearing focuses back on the Congress and how the Federal Government has stopped making significant Federal investments in improving our Nation's water quality.

I hope that we can somehow collectively get to the point where we hold student athletes to the same--or hold coaches to the same standards we hold student athletes.

My fondest hope as I leave the Congress is that the way in which this committee has conducted its business will come to characterize the way the Congress as a whole conducts its business.
