I sound like a broken record, and I've said this before, that ever since the 1970s when Nixon went to China, we thought that the more that China was exposed to the United States and to the West generally, the more they would become like us and the more they would look at the ideas of democracy and of human rights and of capitalism. And that just has not happened.
