I just wanted to note, because I think there was some confusion in the presentation that we accepted the gentlewoman's amendment in the bill. It was completely the intent of the committee, it is the understanding of the committee that it is inherent in the qualified activities inherent in this provision of the bill that child care services were already incorporated. The gentlewoman had a concern, a valid concern. The amendment was accepted by myself and by the committee, and I just want to make clear that that was the case because I think there was some impression somehow that we were less than cooperative in showing that we supported this amendment.

The middle class has done incredibly poorly under Barack Obama, under eight years. They don't want another eight years of going backwards in terms of their income.
