I'm kind of sick of people, politicians in the aftermath of some type of public relations blowout just saying, I'm sorry and I'm responsible, but there's no follow-up, there's no tangible evidence of accountability.

This is not the kind of statements that you would associate with the party of Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt or Ronald Reagan.

Primarily, really, it's an opportunity, for Congress, to make a statement, about a standard, a minimal standard, of ethics, and honesty, and virtue.
