Do I think he might - maybe should think a little bit longer-term, about the perception, of the party, of tolerating unethical, probably illegal behavior? Absolutely.

At some point, the party leaders need to press him for an actual credible plan, which I think he's largely lacking.

It's one thing to say we want to pause on Syrian immigrants, and it's another to say all Muslims ought to be kept out of the country.

And really in the end for Governor Christie, what he has to salvage coming out of all this is the perception that he is a straight-shooting, honest politician. And that's the most important thing that he has got to focus on.
