Our committee hears from small businesses too often about the cost and complexities associated with cybersecurity. With businesses having to be familiar with small business data regulations, ever-changing cyber threats, and the cost to install and maintain a cybersecurity system, many small-business owners wonder when they will have time to actually operate their business. The changes made by H.R. 5064 will unify our efforts and create a streamlined process for small employers seeking to install cyber safeguards. Utilizing the existing national network of SBDCs--many of which small businesses already seek assistance from--as a source for cyber education and awareness provides a critical tool for American entrepreneurs. I, once again, urge my colleagues to support this measure. I yield back the balance of my time.
