to close this debate, I would like to thank my colleagues with whom I have worked so closely on this issue over the years. Having seen the results of these programs, having seen the educational programs that have encouraged women to get into fields of math and science and engineering, I would again like to appeal to all my colleagues to support this very important amendment. We can work to cut out a lot of programs, but this is one in which we should invest.
