To my friends on the other side of the aisle, this bill just came to the floor without serious discussion and when there is no public money for abortion today as a result of the Hyde amendment. I look forward to bringing a Homeland Security bill to the floor. As I began to say, as a New Yorker, I am concerned about potential threats to our country. Let's get to work. Let's create jobs. Let's do the work that our citizens--our constituents--brought us here to do. I don't understand this bill. And in closing, there is no public money for abortion.
