I am delighted to yield 1\1/2\ minutes to the distinguished gentlewoman from Florida (Ms. Wasserman Schultz), the chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies. {time} 1845

We cannot allow a return to a familiar and unstable status quo which repeatedly increases violence and animosity while rendering a final resolution of the conflict impossible.

I urge this Subcommittee to continue its longstanding support for critical people-to-people and peacebuilding programming.
