I ask unanimous consent to insert my statement into the Record opposing the GOP's dubious Mother's Day gift--more work and less pay for working moms. Happy Mother's Day. The SPEAKER pro tempore. Is there objection to the request of the gentlewoman from New York? There was no objection. The SPEAKER pro tempore. The Chair would advise Members to confine their unanimous-consent request to a simple declarative statement of the Member's attitude toward the measure. Further embellishments will result in a deduction of time from the yielding Member. The gentleman from Connecticut is recognized.
