The Labor-Health and Human Services portion of this package provides vital resources that will impact the lives of every American. A $2 billion increase to the National Institutes of Health will give our researchers the tools they need to find the cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's and diabetes. The community service block grants, however, did not receive the House level of funding but still got an increase. This is very important for families and communities that can use some of this funding, as they have come up with proven programs on how to make opioid recovery successful.…”
