Current Federal law allows a voter to receive necessary assistance from someone while in the voting booth. This statute makes it possible for a tribal elder, who may be more comfortable communicating in an indigenous tribal language, to be aided by a translator while participating in the democratic process. Does this amendment in any way restrict any American from receiving such assistance?
