because I have the utmost respect for my colleague from Illinois [Mr. Hyde], although I might have a slightly different interpretation of the events as he portrayed them in front of this body, and because I realize that there is a schedule to be kept and that Members have many obligations, and taking into account the sensitivities of some other Members, I would be happy to say now that I am certainly prepared to move ahead this evening, and to those who misinterpret my actions as somehow being disrespectful, when, in fact, of course, we have the utmost of respect for differences of opinion. and differences in styles of speaking, and different personalities, and different points of view in this Chamber, I would say that I regret the interpretation of the incident. I still lament the words of my colleague from Wisconsin [Mr. Obey]. I would hope he would apologize for those words and that we can move along to complete the people's business in this House, for the people's business should supersede any personalities, personal ambitions, or personal affronts.
