The terrorist attacks on September 11 forever reshaped our city and state, and every year on the anniversary New Yorkers feel the weight of unimaginable tragedy and honor the lives lost.

And to those suing us, those trying to block the implementation of this law who’ve tried before and failed, our law has already been upheld by the courts, but if you try me again, I say, bring it on.

Because we need local cops hunting down criminals, not kindergartners. Breaking up drug rings, not breaking up families. Arresting gun runners, not grandmas.

Don’t undermine our public safety efforts. Don’t defund the police who thwart terror attacks. Don’t play political games with people’s lives.
