Today we march in defiance and also to stand up for the values that define New York State since its very beginning. We will always be that bastion, that beacon of hope for others to be able to live the way they want to live, and practice their religious belief freely from harassment.

New Yorkers, like all Americans, deserve honest answers about what their federal government is doing in their communities.
I don't want our local ratepayers, who are already dealing with sky-high utility bills, to have to be burdened with the cost of basically subsidizing these huge massive centers.
Because New York is the kind of state that wants to not just be first, but be the first to get it right. So what we do here will certainly be a model for other states.
