A badge carries with it a responsibility to uphold the public’s trust. New Yorkers deserve to know who is enforcing the law in their communities and have the assurance that local resources are being deployed to protect public safety, not to intimidate or advance the agenda of a rogue federal agency.

And to those suing us, those trying to block the implementation of this law who’ve tried before and failed, our law has already been upheld by the courts, but if you try me again, I say, bring it on.
Anyone who tries to tear that apart will be met with the full force of the law.
That appears to me on its face to be a violation of civil rights to cause that kind of physical harm to an individual regardless of what the offense may be.
