I am very proud of the workforce development efforts already underway at Stony Brook University and Farmingdale State College in my home State of New York.

I think these noncompete agreements, it is not just low-wage workers, it is even doctors and medical providers who are trapped and are being essentially forced to move to entirely different metropolitan area to continue their profession.

if we don't give them the resources to actually carry out those responsibilities, it is all for naught.

I am very supportive of my colleague from San Diego and a member of this committee, Congressman Scott Peters' bill, the Workforce Mobility Act, which would place strong limits on noncompete agreements.
