If this Committee wants the CFTC to stay as the principal regulator in this, it must work aggressively and it must demonstrate to the American people--and when I say 'the American people,' the industrial consumers of commodities are at this table, the farmers, the heating oil dealers, the gas station owners, the airlines are all very supportive of what you are doing and would ask for a little bit more in order to control these markets.
Stressing the need for the CFTC to actively regulate markets for consumer support.
