I also want to note that, as we work to support our first responders today, we must also support other essential workers who are on the front lines of this pandemic, like those in the food and healthcare industries who are putting their lives at risk each day during this crisis. We should ensure that all those who are making the ultimate sacrifice for their communities, for us, are properly compensated. That work begins today with supporting our public safety officers with this bill. I thank my colleagues, Representative Max Rose from New York and Representative Bill Pascrell from New Jersey, for their support of this measure from its inception.
