The fact is we have great unmet needs for housing for people with AIDS. The committee made an intelligent decision, and now to cut the budget by $21 million, by almost 10 percent for veterans needs which are also there, I do not understand the stubbornness in not accepting my amendment which I hope people will agree to. A 1 one-thousandth reduction in the space station is a heck of a lot more bearable than a 10 percent reduction in housing for people with AIDS. One doesn't really have an effect, the other has a very substantial effect, and I just hope people will think about it.
