Mr. Chairman, I have an amendment at the desk. The CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 30, line 23, insert after ``112-141).'' the following: ``(q) Exception.-- ``(1) In general.--Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, the provisions of this section shall not apply in the case of a project described in paragraph (2), or an environmental document pertaining to such a project. ``(2) Project described.--A project described in this paragraph is any project that pertains to a nuclear facility in an area designated as an earthquake fault zone.''. The CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 501, the gentleman from New York (Mr. Nadler) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from New York.
