We are certainly not satisfied with that. We have repeatedly said what is demanded by the situation and that is that the Judiciary Committee be given the entire report and the underlying evidence.
It's fundamental law that executive privilege cannot hide misconduct. You cannot use the executive privilege to hide misconduct by the president or by anybody around him.
The first priority is to protect the investigation because the investigation is necessary to protect the integrity of our elections to find out what happened.
There must never be a narrowly voted impeachment or an impeachment supported by one of our major political parties and opposed by the other. Such an impeachment will lack legitimacy, will produce divisiveness and bitterness in our politics…
