Hakeem Jeffries: “We understand as House Democrats that we need to deliver dramatic change.”

We will try to undo the massive Medicaid cuts that the GOP Congress approved in 2025.

We ran on affordability, we won on affordability, and now it's our job to govern on affordability.

As House Democrats, we’re committed to getting the situation turned around. We know we have a broken immigration system. We know it needs to be fixed in a comprehensive and bipartisan way.

We've been relentlessly focused on affordability and on accountability.
