Well, if it helps, and I am sure you do know this, that four former directors of the census who have served in both Republican and Democratic administrations have all written that they are concerned in asking about citizenship status, that it would exacerbate privacy concerns and lead to inaccurate responses, and that the sum effect would be bad census data.
