The Clerk read as follows: Ms. Meng moves to recommit the bill H.R. 5063 to the Committee on the Judiciary with instructions to report the same back to the House forthwith with the following amendment: Page 3, line 11, insert after ``settlement agreement'' the following: ``(except as provided in subsection (e))''. Add at the end of the bill the following: (e) Exception for a Settlement Agreement That Saves Lives and Reduces Healthcare Costs.--The provisions of this Act do not apply in the case of a settlement agreement that reduces the cost of life-saving medical devices through the enforcement of the antitrust laws.
