This specific amendment does not touch any of the testing procedures. We want the animals tested. There are those who even have a greater picture; and they would say, let us not eat meat at all. That is not the purpose of this gentleman, and that is not the purpose of this amendment. This amendment says after you go through all of these processes and all of these wonderful things that are in place right now, why jeopardize it all for the sake of making a few bucks and jeopardize the entire cattle industry, a major American industry, for the sake of making a few bucks off a couple of crippled animals, less than .63 percent of the entire population. It makes no sense. One mad cow has closed them down in Canada.
