FDR: “The objective at home and abroad has always been clear before us.”

I do know it will come, and I do know that tonight there are over seven and a half million Americans overseas or fighting afloat in this great war.

This is our chance to serve those who serve us.

The Secretary of the Interior shall make employment available and provide protection to all employees working at such mines.

I wish I had the power, just for this evening, to be present at all of these gatherings.
