Executive Order No. 7140 of August 13, 1935, authorizing the appointment of Mrs. Ruth Hampton to the position of Assistant Director, Division of Territories and Island Possessions, Department of the Interior, without compliance with the civil service rules, is hereby modified so as to permit Mrs. Hampton to acquire a classified civil service status as a result of her appointment to such position.
