As their Commander in Chief I call upon you, my fellow Americans, to oversubscribe the 1945 Red Cross War Fund.
The logic of events and our clear and pressing national interest must override our old party controversies.
The point in history at which we stand is full of promise and of danger.
That the President appoint a commission for these purposes.
