Eliot Engel: “I am committed to honor Jamal and Alexei and other activists who have been imprisoned, poisoned or killed.”

I know Mr. Meeks very well and I know that he will do an excellent job--an excellent job--as chairman.

I particularly want to thank Chairman Engel for his leadership, as well as the whole committee, for making the Caesar Act a reality.

I think that is scandalous and I think it, frankly, undermines whatever policy we are pursuing in Syria.

This coup is a blatant violation of the rights of the Burmese people.
