Eliot Engel: “Assad is a brutal dictator responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of Syrians.”

Self-government is not some sort of temporary arrangement or gift from the military, it's a right that's owed to the people of Burma.

Why have there been no designations by us of Russian companies and individuals who are so clearly and shamelessly giving Assad a lifeline?

I think that is scandalous and I think it, frankly, undermines whatever policy we are pursuing in Syria.
