Eliot Engel: “Sincerely, Congressman Eliot Engel, Ranking Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.”

We like to say that the Foreign Affairs Committee... is the most bipartisan committee in Congress.

This coup is a blatant violation of the rights of the Burmese people.

This legislation could go a long way toward putting Burma back on the path toward democracy.

I particularly want to thank Chairman Engel for his leadership, as well as the whole committee, for making the Caesar Act a reality.
