I think these actions make it tougher for us to influence them, not easier.

We should learn from our mistakes and, more importantly, Egyptians must learn from their mistakes.

It just seems to me it's not very wise to risk alienating our traditional allies and friends including Egypt, Israel and the Gulf States.
