“I will be glad to argue all day and all night that the Congress of the United States should be placed under the same laws concerning their retirement as American citizens are. If anyone disagrees with that, I would be more than happy to spend considerable amounts of time explaining why there is such discontent and anger on the part of the American people with Congress because we seem to pass laws that apply to them and not to us. That is also the case of the Social Security earnings test.
