Furthermore, the high temperature superconductor technology demonstration projects should also have a minimal adverse impact on the environment and land use, and produce environmental benefits by reducing reliance on oil as a cooling agent in electric power devices and reducing harmful emissions caused by fossil-fuel-powered generating plants.”
