I just want to thank Senator Whitehouse. He has been a leader on this issue. It doesn't get enough attention. It is very much part of our bill, the Freedom to Vote Act. It is universally or virtually universally supported, and it is one of the great scourges of our politics. If we don't move forward on these bills, we are not going to be able to do this because we will not get the kind of bipartisan cooperation we need on this horrible, horrible thing that I think all 50 of us agree should be changed. So I want to thank him for his efforts--not just his speech today but his amazing efforts over the months and years.
