He saw what was happening to the Senate. And it was a group of people on the hard right who gained ascendancy on the other side of the aisle. And they decided to tie it in a knot. And he said that wouldn`t -- that shouldn`t happen. And his views evolved. And he was a strong advocate of changing the rules of the Senate, which I hope we carry with us forward in the next few weeks.
