I have a motion to commit at the desk. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the motion. The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows: The Senator from New York [Mr. Schumer] moves to commit the bill H.R. 1628 to the Committee on Finance with instructions to report the same back to the Senate within 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that-- (1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) strike the subsequent effective date in the repeal of the tax on employee health insurance premiums and health plan benefits, which reinstates the tax in later years. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The question is on the Schumer motion to commit.
