I have always been a steadfast supporter of Federal funding for museums and the arts in New York and across the country. When I voted in favor of Senator Coburn's amendment No. 309 to H.R. 1, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, I thought the amendment was only targeted to casinos and golf courses and was not aware it also included museums and other cultural centers. The arts community knows they have had--and will certainly continue to have--my full support.

We cannot allow this company to continue to operate in the shadows. No one in New York or anywhere in America should give up their privacy just by stepping outside.
A company can’t just come in and collect personal information about our entire lives and not answer any questions about it.
