as I mentioned a minute ago, although we have never had an official dress code, the events over the past week have made us all feel that formalizing it is the right way forward. I ask unanimous consent the Senate proceed to the immediate consideration of S. Res. 376, submitted earlier today. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the resolution by title. The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows: A resolution (S. Res. 376) clarifying the dress code for the floor of the Senate. There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the resolution.
