The sponsors, working with Banking Committee Chairman Johnson and Crapo, crafted a bipartisan compromise with the following key features: Long-term extension that will promote national security, economic growth and market certainty 7 year extension of TRIA until December 31, 2021. Improve existing taxpayer protections Gradually raise the insurer co-payment from 15% to 20% over 5 years.
