Finally, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it stand adjourned until 3 p.m. on Monday, December 18; that following the prayer and pledge, the morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day, and morning business be closed; that upon the conclusion of morning business, the Senate proceed to executive session to consider Executive Calendar No. 415, Martin O'Malley to be Commissioner of Social Security, and that the Senate vote on confirmation of the nomination at 5:30 p.m.; further, that on disposition of the O'Malley nomination, the Senate resume consideration of the Fonzone nomination; finally, that if any nominations are confirmed during Monday's session, the motions to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table and the President be immediately notified of the Senate's action.
