Finally, Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it stand adjourned until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25; that following the prayer and the pledge, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day, and morning business be closed; that following the conclusion of morning business, the Senate proceed to executive session to resume consideration of the Conway nomination; further, that notwithstanding rule XXII, at 11:40 a.m., Senator Paul be recognized for up to 20 minutes and that upon the use or yielding back of time, the Senate resume legislative session and Senator Paul be recognized to make a motion to proceed to S. Con. Res. 41; further, if the motion to proceed is not made or agreed to, the Senate resume executive session and vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Conway nomination; that if cloture is invoked on the nomination, all time be considered expired at 3:45 p.m.; finally, that if any nominations are confirmed during Wednesday's session, the motions to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table and the President be immediately notified of the Senate's action.
