This bipartisan legislation will require that rental car companies ground vehicles that are subject to a safety recall until they are fixed.

If a car is not safe enough to be bought and driven off the lot, then that car is not safe enough to rent.

I'm pleased consumer safety organizations, the rental car industry have come together to support this legislation.

By enacting this agreement into law, we can set a Federal standard for safety.
