first, I sat at the back of the room to listen to my colleague from Illinois. I know he got up because he wanted very much to respond to the majority leader, and I thought he did a great job. It was a pleasure to listen, as always, to one of the most articulate Members with whom I have ever served in any legislative body, as well as his having many other good traits.
